Elizabeth's Graduation Portrait Shoot, UCLA.

I had the pleasure of photographing a fellow Bruin. I met Elizabeth, an Italian major with a special field in International Relations, this past Friday. She will be graduating in June and will be looking for a career in imports/exports or in project management. I like her sense of adventure. She has many places she'd like to relocate to.

Elizabeth was a natural in front of the camera. I didn't need to give her a lot of direction.  Many times she would just gracefully move around and I was able to capture her best angles!

We were able to take really elegant photographs at Royce Hall located in one of the central locations of UCLA.

Langley/Scott Family Beach Shoot!

Hi All!
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my good friends, Cindal, and her family. She shares a beautiful daughter, Scarlett, with her beau of almost 5 years, Kevin. We had this shoot planned for quite some time but we had some weather complications holding us back. However, I'm very happy that we waited because the weather was perfect and it gave us time to really discuss Cindal's vision for the shoot. We shot in the afternoon at the beach in their hometown Hermosa Beach, California. The sun was slowly setting so it added a beautiful glow around the family.

Cindal's smile and laugh is contagious.

This shot is one of my favorites. Scarlett will be turning 2 in May. She is so vivacious and intelligent! Talking up a storm, it was very entertaining to see her facial expressions and see her passion for life at such a young age.

I brought lavender to the shoot with some intention of using it. Scarlett automatically wanted to carry it around the whole beach.

Kevin and Cindal are coming up on their 5th year anniversary in June. They make such a great pair.

This sequence was a lot of fun. Miss Scarlett loved every minute of it!

I've known Cindal for almost 8 years. She and I went to the same high school. We met in our school's drama department and hit it off. Her beauty really resonates in this photo. I always knew that one day she would be such a beautiful mother.

I hope you enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I loved taking them.

A smile appeared upon her face as if she'd taken it directly from her handbag and pinned it there.  -Loma Chandler

Hannah's First Trip to LA

I have family on my mom's side that lives in Arkansas. Yesterday, I was able to spend some really nice time with my younger cousin, Hannah. It was her first time in LA and I only had one day to squeeze her favorite to-do list before she went home. We spent time in Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Hannah is such a sweet-heart. Although Hannah is from a very small town, Jonesboro, she embraced Los Angeles with open arms! I'm so happy to have such a humble and beautiful cousin. :)

Hannah and Me!
First we explored our way up to the famous Hollywood sign in LA. We went up Beachwood Canyon. It was a very nice neighborhood and we weren't alone as tour buses drove up to snap photos as well!

Walking down Hollywood Blvd. She found one of her favorite bands!

Then, I zipped all the way to Venice Beach to take her to the Venice Canals. I love these photographs I took of her! She's been to the real Venice in Italy! Now she's been to both!

A street performer gang, jumping over 9 people!

Hannah's first fried oreos! They are my favorite snack to get at Venice Beach. Simply Delicious!

One the way back we ran into some ducks :)
Hannah come back soon! I'm already going to start planning your 21st! :)

Malibu [Monday March 21, 2011]

Meet Kate.

When thinking of a signature name, I didn't want to use my actual name for my photography because someday (of course when that day comes... ) I would love to get married and take my future husband's name. So, I thought of my inspirations, my muses when it came to my photography. The most recent and easiest answer would be my awesome kitten, Kate. I adopted her last June and she will be turning ONE in less than a month. I loved taking photographs of her as she grew up and next thing you know I had thousands of pictures! And, they were all of my cat. Once I thought of her, the answer to my problem was answered. So, that's where Meg & Kate Photography originated.
